Hi,

I have created a new database template with a new chem name and chem group order.  Is is possible to apply the formatting of this new database template to an existing database?

Thanks in advance,

Rebecca

Hi Rebecca

Thanks for your post.

A database template (in the Access version) cannot be applied retrospectively.

Instead you would need to update the relevant tables in the existing database.

This can be done from the Import View.

Export the tables to import templates with the Populate with imported data button checked.

Apply the required edits and reimport.

Refer to the following for more guidance:

http://www.ESdat.com.au/ESdathelp/importingdata.htm

Thanks
