Hi Warwick/Tom, Ive set the template path to a location on a server (which is accessible to the terminal ESdat is on). however, when i produce a QAQC report, ESdat seems to be referring to the template on the C drive (the normal chem ouput table references the correct template on the network). Any idea on how to fix this? Cheers, Brad

Hi Brad Thanks for your post. How are you identifying that the wrong template is being used? (i.e. some custom detail lacking on the output?) Can you please post a screen shot of your template folder showing the customised QA report template files? Regards Tom |

I have the same problem as Brad. No matter what I set the template path to, it seems to always revert to the local C: drive. I have custom templates in the network directory, but I always get the default templates with "Your Logo Here" in the top left corner. Thanks, Brad C

Hi Brad Camroux This issue was occuring for Brad Clay's QA/QC report. It sounds like you may be experiencing a similar problem for all of your templates? Can you confirm this? Thanks Tom |

I haven't used the QA/QC templates at all yet, as we've been doing duplicate checks manually until we figure out how to actually use the features ESdat provides, but that's another story. Thanks, Brad C.

Hi Brad, To confirm, if you set your template path in ESdat, then close and re-open ESdat it isn't remembering the template path? We did have an issue like that (supposedly in the past) that occurred when the Template Path was too long to be stored in the application settings. It is possible that somehow that issue is still occuring on your system. If you set the Template Path to a short value (ie c:\temp) does it still not remember the path? (this is just to test, that obviously isn't a real option). Regards, Warwick ps If you wish to gain some familiarity with the QA reports that ESdat produces I'd recommend, if you havn't done so, take a look through Tutorial 3-3 Importing Field and Lab Chemistry Data and QA at http://www.ESdat.net/ESdathelp/tutorials.htm Edited by user Thursday, July 23, 2015 2:03:47 AM(UTC)

Brad Clays problem with the QA Report Template was resolved off line. It appears there was a file called "Chemistry QA Checker.xlsx" that had been saved into the ESdat Installation folder, but wasn't in the Template folder. This was throwing off the heirarchy, as xlsx files are checked first, although for the QA reports, a xlsm file should be used. No files should be saved or edited in the Installation folder, the Template folder is for that. If you're unsure uninstall ESdat, remove any files remaining, and reinstall. Also, the Chemistry QA file should end in .xlsm (or .xls). Warwick
