Hi,

For the last month or two, my template path keeps changing. I'll log in to the PC and start ESdat where I go about creating tables and notice at the options section my usual table options are not highlighted. I check the template and put it back (sometimes the path is the job folder?). Ill create the table I need and log off. Next time I log in, the template path has changed. The network path has been the long term templates path, this no longer stays set.

I thought perhaps it requires templates on the C drive. So I put my preffered templates there and set it. Same process as above- the next time I need ESdat the template path has diverted- often to the main ESCIS folder and not the Templates folder within. Everything works fine when I set the template path, but something causes it not to stay by the next time I open ESdat and I always have to re-set the path prior to creating tables.

I dont mind using C:drive or network paths as long as it will stay on the Templates folder. What can I do? Thanks.

Hi Sally,

Does it reset if you close ESdat and restart it, or does it only reset if you log out of windows?

If the latter it may be that your windows user profile settings are being reset on each login.

Regards,

Hi,

It happens when I close ESdat and restart it. I just tried it again to make sure. I set the template path to the network location and it defaulted to the CDrive general ESdat folder.
