Hi ESdat folk, We are getting a heads up that the company is about to migrate to Office Pro Plus Office 365. Has ESdat been updated to handle the new version of Excel? And is there anything we need to do (Eg update Chem templates) to get ready for this?

Hi Justin, For ESdat Desktop to integrate with Excel it requires Excel to be fully installed on the PC. It appears that some Office 365 editions / versions can do that, and can suppport activex / com (ie application integration). However it appears that some can't. We don't have any difinitive list on that, and so we can't say that ESdat Desktop will work with all Office 365 installs. Apparently if your Office 365 supports VBA then that may mean that activex / com is installed. In short though, you'd need to test your particular Office 365 in your environment and see if it does work, however it's not formally supported. Office Pro etc.. of course works fine. Warwick
