Field too small error

Hi Warwick,
I am getting a “Field too small” error in the Comments field for some
new zRef_Environmental_Stanadards I am uploading. What is the limit to the number of Characters in this field?
Currently there is upwards of 177 characters.

Hi Ilya, The limit is currently 200 characters (Access version) or 255 characters (SQL Server version). If you can't reduce the length of the comment that is needed for a particular Action Level then the only option is to extend the length of that field using either Access or SSMS (some database knowledge required). In all the standard guidelines we've compiled there have been a couple of comments > 200 characters, but in those cases we've been able to shorten the text with no loss of meaning, hence the current limit.
