Hi

I've received the following import error message trying to import a lab report with ESdat online

The conversion of a datetime2 data type to a smalldatetime data type resulted in an out-of-range value

I've never had this problem before any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Ben,

You should have an ESdat Online email address that you can request the laboratories to send lab reports to?  You should use ask the lab to do that, rather than have them send you the lab reports and you upload them into the system.

If you do that the lab report will automatically appear in the system and you (if a PM on the project) will also receive an email informing you it has been received.

If there is any issue with the lab report, such that it can't load, the lab will receive a report on the error and how to fix it, and can contact us if necessary.

Our preference is to follow that process if possible, rather than have you uploading files and needing to follow up any errors if they occur. We don't see that users should have to be involved in resolving errors on lab report uploads.

If you don't know your email address for labs to send your ESdat files to it is listed in Licencee Management - Lab Reports Email Details
