Label export to arcGIS error

I'm having issues with exporting the chemistry labels to arcGIS both as .shp and .csv
The labels show many more sample dates than usual (the site has a long remediation history going back 15 years and the auditor wants to see all results for the COCs over that period)
The labels will display in ESdat but will not export to arcGIS as .shp or .csv and I get an error message saying that the text string length exceeds the field limit. I tried fiddling around, and if I filter based on date I can stop this from happening, however I have to split my samples up into 3 different date ranges to sucessfully export the labels.
Are there any other tricks I can try? Is there a fix for this?
Please note it was happening for the .csv export option too.

Hi Kim, Labels in ArcGIS are limited to a certain character length. Of course with that volume of data it is probably too big to fit in a label to display next to points on a map in any case.
I'd suggest one of the following if the Auditor wants to view the results in a GIS.
- Dumping the results to Excel, and the auditor can then decide which data they want to import. The dump will have coordinates in it so they can easily import any specific data they are interested in into ArcGIS; or
- Export the results to a shp file without the label formatting and you shouldn't have the problem with too long a label. To do that deselect the "Export label as shown in ESdat Map" option in the ArcMap export.
