Hi I have historical chem table (non-ESdat format), which we have entered into ESdat template and uploaded into the database using the desktop.
The ESdat template used SDG to reference the historical results (i.e. not allowed to enter lab report number), but the when working with Chem Table on the web version, there is only option to select lab report number (no SDG option). Is there a ways in the Web version, i can create hsitorical chem tables? Thanks.

Hi, Yes, firstly you can import historical data with a lab report number. However, now that the data is in, in the web interface you don't have the option to filter data by SDG. If you actually do need to filter by Lab Report Number you may need to reimport the data and ensure it is included. You should make sure you populate both the Lab Report Number and the Lab Name, and if you get a "Parent Record is missing" error you can select "Create missing parent record" there is more information about this in the tutorials at http://www.ESdat.net/ESdatHelp/tutorials.htm. There is one specifically on importing historical chemistry. Aside from that, you could also filter by other attributes such as Sampled Date, Location etc.. if viewing a Chem Table in the "Data Views" section of ESdat Web. Warwick
