Thanks: 1 times

Hi,

We're longterm users of ESdat Online. We have a question in relation to some of the Environmental Standards not being displayed in NEPM HIL criteria.

Specifically, Table 1 A(1) Health investigation levels for soil contaminants the Carcinogenic PAHs (as BaP TEQ) calculated values are not being displayed. See screenshots of the relevant NEPM values below.

Could you please provide guidance on how to include the TEQ values on ESdat Online, or whether this could be added as a calculation into ESdat Online?

(6) Carcinogenic PAHs: HIL is based on the 8 carcinogenic PAHs and their TEFs (potency relative to B(a)P) adopted by CCME 2008 (refer Schedule B7). The B(a)P TEQ is calculated by multiplying the concentration of each carcinogenic PAH in the sample by its B(a)P TEF, given below, and summing these products.

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

ESdat Online does include the TEQ values that you're after, and these are typically reported in the lab reports provided by the labs.

You can search all the standards in ESdat Online using this link (https://online.ESdat.net/EnvironmentalStandards) or by clicking "Chemistry Search" from the banner once you are logged into your account. You can search by specific standards, or by Chem Names.

It's more likely in your scenario that the B(a)P TEQ parameters are not enabled in your Chemistry Profile, so you are not seeing them in your tables.

For more details on creating and managing your own Chem Profiles, please have a look at the ESdat Online Manual here: http://www.ESdat.net/ESdat_Online_Help/index.html?chem_names.htm

Thanks,

Nick
