Thanks: 1 times

When applying filters in the chemistry table view, is there an equivalent to 'within applied filter only'?

For instance is there a way of only showing the sites in the filter window relevant to the project ID that you've filtered for?

Constructing a filter feels very inefficient at the moment.

Thanks

Hi,

Reading between the lines a little bit, it sounds like you're specifically referring to applying location filters.  Is this correct?

The ESdat Server Web Interface shows items in the filter based on the Project permissions and Site permissions that you have.  So if you open the Locations filter, it will list all of the Locations you have access to, not just the ones that are already in your filter (such as an applied Lab Report filter, or Project filter).

You can however search within the Location filter box (and filter within the filter), to narrow down your options.  So you can find the Locations you need much more efficiently using a few tricks.

We have had previous feedback about this process, and we are investigating alternative ways of filtering certain fields, but for the moment you will need to use some of the tricks I have mentioned above.

Cheers,

Nick
