Some of the samples concentrations are not showing up in the RPD tables but the RPD are still being calculated. This is generally happening for those parameters that have a lot of decimal places. Is there some formatting issue that needs to be resolved or has anyone else seen anything similar. Example below

  SDGB025476B025476
Field_IDBH05-1GR1 (dup of BH05-1)RPD
Sampled_Date-Time4/18/20104/18/2010

Cadmium (Filtered)mg/l0.00001 0.00.040

Hello Kathrine,

It is most likely, as you summised, that the issue is with the large number of decimal places getting rounded.  Possible resolutions are as follows:

  • Change the output units for those compounds (in the zRef_Chemistry_Lookup table) so that there are less decimal places (ie mg/L)
  • If you are happy using MS Access you can open the "LChem1_Chemistry" view (ie the liquid or water chemistry output view) in design view and edit the "Concentration" column to allow more decimal places, the default is generally 6.

Sincerely,

Alex.
