Whenever I import data into ESdat it all apears to import properly. All the lines highlight in green after uploading, but when I try and find pH within Water Chemistry, I can't. It's not uploading properly. Help! I have no idea why this is happening?

Hello, I expect that the issue in in the unit conversion. All results go through the unit conversion process, even pH, where this isn't typically relevant. If you click "Check Units" in the main screen you should see pH listed, and you can add a conversion of 1 from the unit you gave during import (ie "-" or "pH Unit" etc...) and the unit specified for output. Regards, Warwick

Hi Warwick, I've got the same problem with importing pH data. It works fine for a laboratory report from the secondary lab, but not for the primary lab. I have checked csv files from both labs and pH is included in the lab reports. I can also import the data without problems. pH just does not apppear in the result tables (primary lab) and I can also not find it in the ESdat data base. I checked the units but cannot convert. The error message: "230 The INSERT permission was denied on the object 'zRef_ConvertUnits', database 'ESdat_HG', schema 'dbo'." appears. Do you know where the problem is and how I can solve it? Thanks, Sandra Warwick Wood wrote: Hello, I expect that the issue in in the unit conversion. All results go through the unit conversion process, even pH, where this isn't typically relevant. Hello Sandra, It looks like you are using the SQL Server version, and an older version of ESdat? In the SQL Server version only Power Users can add conversions. You will need to get a power user to add the conversion you need. This prevents erroneous conversions being entered. Alex
