Hi,

Is there a way to get ESdat to ignore the difference in method name between primary and duplicate samples so that the RPDs can be calculated and presented in QA output?

ESdat already ignores this difference for interlab duplicates because it assumes that different labs will use different terms.

I'm hoping there's a box I can tick/untick somewhere. The alternative (manually editing method names) is both time-consuming and likely to introduce error.

Thanks

Hi Richard,

It's unusual that duplicates at the same lab would be measured by different Methods, this isn't an issue that we've seen much of, and so there hasn't been the need to accomodate that scenario.

The only way for you to compare across different methods is to change the Sample Type to "Interlab D", produce your report, and then change it back to "Field D" afterwards.

Thanks Warwick,

It looks like it only occurs when we request analysis for (e.g.) MAH on the primary and BTEX for the duplicate. We assumed, incorrectly, the same method would be used for both groups of compounds.

But that's a good suggestion! Cheers,

Richard.
