custom environmental standard not showing values

Hi Warwick,
I have created my own env standard and imported successfully, but I cannot turn it on under the Chemtable (it is greyed out), with the i icon saying "This environmental standard no chemcode or unit matches to displayed data" and yet I have checked both chemcodes and units match between lab report and standard.
I note most other env standards already in the system are also greyed out with same message provided. I have not come across this issue before. Have you any suggestions?
Thanks.

Hi Jono, As you have already identified, the ChemCode that the analyte is reported as needs to be the same as that for the Action Level in the Environmental Standard. You can check the ChemCode in the data in the Chem Table: click on the Result Cell and click “Result Details & Comments” (on the right). The ChemCode for the result is shown, make a note of this ChemCode. The Matrix Types will also need to be consistent. If there is no overlap between the data and an environmental standard then the environmental standard won't be available for that data, which is what you are seeing. Regards, Warwick

Hi Warwick,
I've been away from work and following this up now.
I have checked both Chem codes and matrix type, and they all overlap with with data in the data table. Even once imported under the Env Stndards settings, I can see the limits for each paramater, but when viewing under Chem Table Data View, only pH env value appears.
If you're able to take a look yourself that would be much appreciated, as I seem to be running out of options to get this working.
Thansk.

Hi Jono, Yes, are you able to describe the steps I can take to replicate the issue.
Can you provide:
- one Lab Report Number that has the relevant data, or a URL ideally.
- indicate the ChemName that you are hoping to see an Action Level for but aren't (a screenshot is ideal if you can), and
- which Environmental Standard you are using.
Thanks, Warwick

Hi Warwick,
The environmental standard I'm useing is site specific, Env Standard: Sewer Admission Limits - Redland Shire Council Policy. There's a whole lot of ChemNames I'm trying to see Action Levels for, but examples are
Ammonia as N
Total Phosphorus as P Chemical Oxygen Demand Suspended Solids (SS)
Is this link useful?

Otherewise use this lab report EB1921509

Hi Jono, Further to my reply, I've attached a image to help describe what I tried to explain in the first reply if you want to go through the investigation process yourself. ChemCodes.png (39kb) downloaded 4 time(s).
1. Click on the Result you dont have a Action Level for, but want one for. 2. Click Results & Details 3. Get the ChemCode You should then make sure you have an Action Level for that ChemCode (and also that it's for soil/water etc.. as appropriate). Also, if you have any unit conversion problems verify they don't relate to that ChemName. Warwick

Hi Jono, Can you also check the Matrix specified for the sample & also the Matrix specified for the Environmental Standard, especially if it's a custom environmental standard. Warwick

Hi Warwick, Yes checked this and both are the same (i.e. Trade Waste).

Hi Jono, In the lab report you mentioned (EB1921509) the samples have a matrix of"Water", not Trade Waste. If you are seeing something different when you checked can you send screenshots? Thanks, Warwick

Hi Warwick,
I checked this lab report and you're right, but both should be SW matrix on this occassion.
Have sent you an email.

Hi Warwick,
I continue to have problems with a particular environmental standard not showing all the action levels. Specifically this is for 'Sewer Admission Limits - Redland Shire Council Policy'. Only some inorganics and metal action levels appear, and all chem names and codes are as per the lab results, and matrix types are all the same (Trade Waste), as per lab report too.
Not sure if this link is useful but would very much appreciate you taking a look.

Hi Jono,
The issue is that Trade Waste (unlike the water matrix for example) can be solid or liquid and so unit conversions are not applied. Hence if your Environmental Standard is in different units to your data it won't convert between the units. You'll avoid that problem if you use one of the liquid specific Matrix States (such as water).
It may be that we can look at how a Matrix type of Trade Waste is managed, however that is the immediate resolution.

Thanks Warwick, that finally resolved the problem! I just changed my units in the Env Standards I uploaded.
