Moving sample data from an interim project

Hi,
We are using an 'Interim' project (visible only Admin) to upload 3rd party submitted sample data to until it is validated and allocated accordingly. Once I've finished this I'd like to move it into a Project that is visible to our Standard Users. Any advice on the best way to do this?
I have tried editing Project ID directly in Chemistry Samples table however this just changes the entire Project ID. Changing it directly or via import templates gets a duplicate site ID error.

Hi Rhys, Moving data from one project to another as a part of your standard workflow isn't how ESdat is designed to operate. You will have to export the data and re-import into the other project. Lab Reports can be marked as "Approved" (or not), which could be used in your instance, however users that can access data in a project will be able to see both Approved and Non-Approved lab reports, which it sounds like is not what you want. We'll take that as a feature request to be able to hide unapproved lab reports for certain users if that's essentially what you need. Regards, Warwick

Hi Warwick,
I appreciate it's unusal but nonetheless it's what I've been handed to resolve, and it's rather large data sets. I don't think Lab Reports will work as a lot data isn't linked to Lab Reports which I can approve.
If I export data site by site in EDIF and import site by site in EDIF, then delete the sites in my 'Interim' Project, will that achieve what I'm after? The Chem Tables, Loc Codes etc for both projects match, although i'm not experienced in the import\export area (of that scale) to know if it's that simple or will create more errors than it's worth.
