Hello,

Could you please explain how to populate this Site ID dropdown menu in the lab reports list? For some reason it is only showing 4 sites instead of about 30, even though I have created all the sites and linked the projects and sites together. I have tried adding locations to the sites and that does nothing either.

Sorry the drop down list is just a filter. What I'm really asking is why the Site IDs aren't showing at all.

Hi Melinda,

The Site ID that is shown is related to the Locations that have been assigned to the samples: https://ESdat.net/ESdat_...tml?sample_locations.htm

Once you've assigned Locations through the Lab Report Details tab, it will be listed on the main Lab Reports screen.

Okay, I see, and yes that works, but only for reports that I have purchased. What about reports that I don't want to purchase, but just keep on file?

Hi Melinda,

If you are using a Field ID that ESdat recognises and can extract the Location from, then this will happen automatically: https://ESdat.net/ESdat_...tml?sample_locations.htm

For this to work, you need to have the Project associated with the relevant Site, and the Location needs to have been created in the Site.  This needs to be setup before the Lab Report is received/imported, as you can't view or edit Lab Reports that you haven't purchased.

Cheers,

Nick
