Hi,

My understand there is nightly service to update locations latitude and logitude. I trie dto log into ESdat Server box but I could not find it. Do you know where I can fine and how do I set up to run nightly?

Hello,

It runs automatically.  Lat/Longs are also updated whenever you update the x/y coordinate values in the ESdat Server web interface.  From ESdat Desktop you can trigger it to update at any time from under the Setup menu.

If Lat/Longs aren't calculating it's possible that you don't have a co-ordinate system specified with your site.

Out scenario is we ONLY use ESdat Desktop to enter locations so that means we can only manually trigger to run update lat/long from the Setup menu? Is there anyway we can trigger nightly?

Hi Daniel,

The nightly lat/long calculation runs on all Locations in the database, irrespective of how they were entered.

You can also trigger it to run on demand from ESdat Desktop from the setup menu.

From what we can see- the automatic Daily update of LAT/LONG no longer works in vesion 5. Can this be reinstated - plus a webgui button to REFRESH ALL SITES - available to an admin?
