Hi,

Recently we have a requirement to let GIS team to update borehole locations in ESdat. I am wondering is there any user type or roles for GIS team ONLY allow them to import and update locations in location table and site details (coordinate_system) but nothing else (e.g. chemical data).

Thanks,

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

This isn't something that's strictly supported out of the box.

However, if you're using Active Directory (AD) to manage your logins, it is possible to tweak user access.

In the first instance I would recommend reviewing the section on this in our user manual here:

https://ESdat.net/ESdat_Server_Help/roles.htm

Based on this information, your AD managers might be able to create an AD Group for your GIS users, which restricts their access to certain sections of the system.

Thanks,

Nick
