Hi

I wanted to search all recognised environmental standards in the system for specific chemicals (e.g. benzene).

I tried to use the Environmental Search as indicated in the online help menu (Chemistry Search/Environmental Standards), however the system only allows viewing of the standards that have been loaded within our system.

Do we have to import all available standards to be able to view via this method, or is there another pathway?

Thanks in advance

Hi Damian,

As you identified, the method you used only searches your specific database.

If you want to look through all the different standards that are available in our online reference database, you should search there instead.  This can be accessed by the following regions:

AU/NZ/SE Asia https://online-au.ESdat.net/EnvironmentalStandards

Canada https://online-ca.ESdat.net/EnvironmentalStandards

USA  https://online-usa.ESdat.net/EnvironmentalStandards

UK https://online-uk.ESdat.net/EnvironmentalStandards

You can then import any standards that you want to incorporate into your own system using the method described in the user manual here:

https://www.ESdat.net/ESdat_Server_Help/index.html?import_from_reference_system.htm

I hope this helps!

Cheers,

Nick

Thanks Nick Yes, very helpful. I can view all the standards from the link. Is there a way to export results from my filters? Damian

Hi Damian,

No, there are no downloads from this page.

If the standard is in your own system, then you can download the whole standard to a spreadsheet, but not based on filters.

Depending on what you are trying to achieve, you could create a Chem Table that includes the analytes you are searching on, enable the appropriate standards you have identified, and export this Chem Table to Excel.  This would then give you a table with all the standards on it, in a nice formatted grid.

This is useful if you are trying to generate a master guideline table for your project, for example.

Thanks,

Nick
