Hi,

Most of our data is fine sediment. Is it possible to have this as a matrix? If not what is the best way to approach this? Is it to populate the 'matrix description' or 'conditional matrix type' columns. And again if so, they dont seem to have their own filters in the data view chemistry table. I want to be able to search for results based on this matrix type.

Assistance appreciated - apologies if this is already covered somewhere.

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

I would recommend using the Matrix Description.  As you observed, you can't currently filter by this, but it is being added to the filter items in the next update to ESdat, which is due for release some time in the very near future.

In the meantime, the tables are sorted by the order you have the Sample Information fields, so you can group by your Matrix Description by differing the sort order.

You can then always filter once you've exported the table to Excel.

Thanks,

Nick
