We need to update site specific standards anually for landfill monitoring sites. However, when I have tired to do this I am getting duplicate standrds entries(i.e., criteria already in ESdat are not updating). Is it possible to do this or will I need to delete existing stantrds before importing updated standards every year?

Hi NJ,

I believe you need to select "update existing" instead of "add new" when importing the updated standard.

Hope that helps.

Hi Nick,

Unfortunately the "Update" option is not available for Enviro Standards.

This is related to conditional standards.  Because you could potentially have two (or more) entries in a single standard for one ChemCode (say arsenic if it has different standards depending on depth or maybe conditional on hardness), this makes it basically impossible to update exisiting entries in bulk (the required table key would be far too complex).

As you suggested, to achieve what you want, you will need to delete the exisiting standard from ESdat before importing your modifications.  This should be relatively simple, as I'm sure you've determined that you can export the existing standard to Excel first, and use this file as the source for the new import template.

Thanks,

NT
