How do you add the Sample ID to field data in ESdat online, once lab data comes in for a project, so that all analytes (lab and field) export on the same line in excel?

Also is there any way to move ORP from chem group Inorganics to chem group Field in the field portal setup?

Hi Nick,

You cannot report data entered in the Field Portal and via a Lab Report on the same row as they have different sample codes. To do this you need to be use the Field or Lab Filter in the Chem Table and be clever with the way you present your data to make it look like one table (although in reality it will be two).

How to add an analyte to a field portal config is described in our online help manual. Scroll to the bottom of this page that shows how Analytes are added as valid Sample Data:

Thanks for the response. Previously when using an older version of ESdat desktop you could manually asign the chem code that you wanted to a field data before you imported it. Is there not an option to manually change the field sample code to match the correspnding lab sample ID?

Also in regards to adding field analytes, i have no problem adding the analytes in the field portal, what i want is for them to display as field parameters in the data view for export, so i what i want to do is change the chem code for ORP from Inorganics to Field. Is that possible?

Thanks

It is possible to edit the Field ID in the Details of a Lab Report:

https://ESdat.net/ESdat_Server_Help/index.html?lab_report_details.htm

Though I'm not sure if that is what you're seeking? Also note it is not possible to report field and lab data on the same row, and lab sample codes can not be modified.

It sounds like you want to move the ORP from the Inorganics Chem Group to the Field Chem Group?

Within the Data View Chemistry Table you can Copy to New to create a new Chem Profile and make any changes there that can be saved for future reference. In this Chem Profile you can move analytes such as ORP to another grouping. Click on the pencil icon next to the Chem Name to open the edit form and select the Chem Group "Field" and Save to Current Profile. You can then use this Chem Profile for displaying data specifically for this report.

https://ESdat.net/ESdat_Server_Help/index.html?chem_names.htm

Another palce to manage Chem Profiles and edit groupings of Chem Codes etc is under the application Settings / Chem Codes top RHS
