Hi there,

When creating a laboratory QA table, ESdat does not show any results for laboratory duplicates - even though there is data within the reports. Instead a balnk page comes up with "There are no results for the selected Filter" - so now I am having to manually enter these.

I have checked with the Laboratory and they have confirmed that there have been no changes to their reports - is there a problem with ESdat?

Thanks.

Hello Emily,

If laboratory duplicates are not showing in the ESdat QA reports there will be a problem with the data coming from the lab.  Most likely it is that the parent sample of the duplicate isn't present, or one of the parent or the duplicate doesn't have any results.

The QA reports have an output called "Incorrect or Missing Parent Samples" https://ESdat.net/ESdat_...or_missing_parent_sa.htm which would be the first thing to check.

Hi Alex,

We have checked the 'incorrect or missing parent samples' output and there are no issues with this.

We are still having this issue with reports from multiple labs which indicates it is most likely an issue on ESdat's end.

Could you please advise?

Thank you.

Emily

Hi Emily,

I had a look at some of your data and ran the same report over several Lab Reports, and it indicates that the parent samples have not been set:

LD.PNG (136kb) downloaded 6 time(s).

This is most likely because the parent samples aren't related to your data.  In this scenario the lab would normally include these as "NCP" (non-client parent) samples in your data, but they either haven't done this, or haven't correctly set the Parent Sample Field.

Thanks,

Nick
