Custom Environmental Standards

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

There may be some circumstances where you wish to create your own specific ‘Environmental Standards’ (for example to meet site licensing requirements or other compliance issues). You can do this in two ways – by modifying an existing Standard to meet your needs or by developing a new Standard.

Existing standards from the Library can be modified if desired.

To do this:

Open an existing Standard that is a close approximation to one you need through the ‘Import’> ‘Files’>‘Environmental Standards’ process used above.

Edit this Standard as required, changing values as needed.

The edited Import Templates should then be imported in to ESdat in the normal manner. It can also be saved for future reuse.

If creating from a blank Import Template the following procedure is recommended:

1. Select Import - Environmental Standards

2. When Prompted for a standard click Cancel, then "Yes" you would like to create a new standard.  You will see a blank template like below (not all columns shown below).

3. Paste or Enter your guideline values.  You can use the "ChemLookup" tool to obtain the ChemCodes.

The populated Import Templates should then be imported in to ESdat in the normal manner.

4. If you wish to re-use this Import Template, Save the file in your ESdat Network Directory, or somewhere you will remember.
